HELLO

Hi to everyone in KWLC Nation.

Our web guy Mike Owens continues to amaze, providing yet another way to connect with our great listeners. We're just 73 days away from kickoff of the Luther Football 2007 season at St. Olaf. I'm very pleased to be rejoined by Mike Owens on the sidelines and very happy to have Jerry Jaeger joining us as a color man. Granted, I'd much rather watch him bust a few people up on the field, but since injuries will not allow that to happy, I'm confident he'll do a great job for us. He will serve as a student coach during the week, so he will bring great insight to the broadcast. Norse and St. Olaf. 12 Noon Pregame. 12:30 kickoff. only on AM 1240 KWLC and at kwlc.luther. edu.

Some Summer Happenings

Well, this summer is going to be a busy one. So far we've painted, updated the posters in the control room, and have plans to organize the library and finish the collage, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. This summer's staff include myself, Steve Hogan, Maddi Green, and Pete Freeberg. Pete and Steve are the summer Rock MDs, Maddi is the "everything but Rock and Classical" MD, and I'm am the summer Station Manager and Librarian.

The summer hours are the same as in the school year: M-F 10pm-12:30am and Sat and Sun 7am-12:30am. I know all of us would love for you to listen when you get a chance, and if you have any requests just give us a call.

The station will (hopefully) be quite different when you all return in the fall. Have a wonderful summer!

First post on the new blog

Welcome to the KWLC staff blog! Here at the station, we wanted a way to connect to listeners and keep them up-to-date on station happenings and programming, even when they're not listening to us. Look forward to posts about sporting events, upcoming lectures, programming lineup changes, and general happenings at KWLC and Luther College. Things should really get going in August, but keep checking back (or subscribe to our RSS feed at the bottom of the page!) for updates on your favorite Luther College radio station, AM1240 KWLC, Decorah.
